BARN CONVERSION

  • Works included the complete renovation of an existing barn in order to convert it into a new kitchen and utility area, including a new glass link to the main house
  • Structural repairs to the existing building included underpinning works and rebuilding of the lower brickwork wall whilst the existing timber frame was temporarily supported
  • Existing exposed oak beams were sandblasted and treated, main features were also kept in place including original meat hooks and chains, all work carried out in coordination with the conservation officer
  • Bespoke oak windows and doors supplied and installed
  • Existing roof covering removed, new insulation installed and new roof installed using a mix of new and existing tiles
  • Bespoke light fitting manufactured using existing oak beam and chains
  • Supply and installation of bespoke kitchen and utility units
  • Floor tiling installed throughout kitchen and link area
  • Fully designed and certified plumbing, heating and electrical system throughout
